Monday Evening Zoom Bible Study — Exploring the Gospel of Mark
Mondays, 7:00PM–8:00pm (Online)

Join us for an open, conversational study of the Gospel of Mark — the earliest written account of Jesus’ life and ministry. This study is especially welcoming to those who are exploring faith or still forming their understanding of who Jesus is, and those who might like to better share and invite others to consider Jesus’ life and message.
We’ll move through the Gospel at our own pace, creating space for questions, curiosity, and honest reflection. Each session stands on its own, so feel free to join every week or whenever you’re able.
Come with your questions, your wonderings, and your openness. All are welcome.
Thursday Morning Study: Making Sense Christianly
Thursdays in January • 10:00AM–11:30am • Memorial UMC Chapel
(in-person onlY)
Join us for a guided, conversational study exploring how the Christian tradition “makes sense” of the world. Each week we’ll reflect on a key theme — Grace, Works, Law, and Gospel — using scripture, questions, and open discussion.
No background knowledge is required. Each session stands alone, and all are welcome to attend as they are able. Together we’ll consider how our beliefs shape our understanding of reality, ourselves, and the life we’re called to live.
Come with curiosity, come with questions, come as you are.

About
Following the Wesleyan movement we believe that the world is our parish. Our purpose is to care for everyone within our walls and beyond.
In the spirit of John Wesley, we seek to
"Do all the good we can, by all the means we can, in all the places we can, in all the ways we can, at all the times we can, to all the people we can, as long as ever we can."
Take Action
At Memorial, a life of faith is a life of activism.
When we explore the stories in the bible and look at the life and teachings of Jesus, we see a man who constantly helped out the least, the lost and the marginalized. We see a teacher, who is over and over again showing humanity how to better love the world in the manner of intentional relationships. We see a spiritual leader and political activist anointed to
bring good news to the poor
proclaim release to the captives
recovery of sight to the blind,
and to let the oppressed go free.
