From Memorial's Outreach Journey Group: Thank you all for the generous response to the Outreach for Christmas gifts. The residents of Anchor House (Our residential drug rehab facility in Brooklyn) again this year received individual gift packages of toiletry items (50 men and 20 women) as has been our custom for many years. This year an added gift was the inclusion of a hand knitted scarf, provided by members and friends of MUMC. Richard Rice delivered these at the Christmas Eve day service there and reports how pleased the residents were -- they immediately tried them on! (Thanks to the knitters.) - Grace Church men's shelter also received approximately 40 gifts from our congregation of sweat shirts, tee shirts, socks, gloves, etc. Sister Alice has written a thank you note to us. - The Children's Home in Binghamton very much appreciated the $700 gift and will use it for the good work going on there. I do not have a report on the Christmas Tree sales at this point. Thank you to everyone who participated in one way or another. - Nancy Rice -
