To volunteer for Project SHARE, be sure to contact Jeanne Newman at 914-478-1795 or email her. She says: “I will need people to just do help setup at noon on Tuesday, including balloon-blowers etc etc. I will also need folks to help Richie Spana, our chef, who will be heading up the kitchen. Waiters and waitresses will be our teens who sign up. We’ll need folks to help clean up as well.”

20th Anniversary Thanksgiving Dinner for the Homeless
Since 1989, the Tuesday before Thanksgiving has meant a warm and wonderful turkey dinner for some of the New York area’s homeless people. Within a few years, this dinner, sponsored, funded and hosted by Project SHARE, was able to share dinner with more than 300 men, women and children from New York City and Westchester County streets and shelters. The dinner now includes basketball, games, arts and crafts and a clown for entertainment and, of course, a home-cooked turkey dinner! Last year many of us attended this wonderful event at Good Counsel which, thanks to Memorial United Methodist Church, was in White Plains for the first time. This year it’s at Congregation Kol Ami, and we are asked to come offer a welcome – and to help out if the many high school aged volunteers have anything left for us to do!
