Memorial’s Pastor, Rev. Dr. Joseph Agne (we just call him "Joe"), has spent his life championing human rights. He received a community service award from Westchester County Chapter of the New York Civil Liberties Union in 2002 in recognition of his long history working for racial and social justice. He has been arrested several times demonstrating against war and for human rights. He is committed to a balanced journey inward and outward, and encourages Memorial to give away half of its offering income. In May 2007 he received his doctorate in ministry from NY Theological Seminary.
